What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device when you visit. They let the site remember certain things about your visit — such as your language setting, or whether you have already seen a notice — so that the experience feels consistent each time you return.

Cookies do not run programs or carry viruses. They are simply data files stored by your browser. Some disappear when you close your browser window (session cookies), while others remain for a set period of time (persistent cookies).

We keep our use of cookies minimal. We only place cookies that genuinely support the way the website works or help us understand how visitors use it, so we can improve over time.

Cookies We Use

Essential Cookies Always active

These keep the website working properly. Without them, some pages or features would not function at all. They do not collect any personal information and cannot be switched off.

Examples: cookie consent record, session state, basic security tokens.

Duration: session or up to 12 months.

Analytics Cookies

These help us understand how visitors move through the website — which pages they read, how long they stay, and where they came from. This lets us improve the content over time. The data is collected in aggregate and is not linked to individual identities.

Examples: Google Analytics page-view counters, session duration.

Duration: up to 24 months.

Marketing Cookies

These track your visit across websites so that advertising networks can show you relevant adverts. If you prefer not to have this kind of tracking, you can switch this off below — it will not affect your ability to use our site.

Examples: Facebook Pixel, Bing Ads conversion tracking.

Duration: up to 90 days.

Preference Cookies

These remember small choices you have made — for example, your region or display settings — so that you do not have to re-enter them on every visit.

Examples: region selection, saved display preferences.

Duration: up to 12 months.

Your Cookie Preferences

Use the toggles above to set your preferences, then save below. Your choices are stored in your browser only — we do not send this information to any server.

Third-Party Cookies

Some cookies are placed by third-party services we use. We do not control these directly, but we only work with services that have their own clear privacy commitments.

  • Google Analytics — helps us see which pages are read most and how visitors arrive. Data is anonymised. You can opt out via Google's opt-out tool.
  • Meta (Facebook) Pixel — used for measuring the reach of any advertising we run. Controlled by your Marketing cookie preference above.
  • Microsoft Advertising — conversion tracking for Bing search adverts. Controlled by your Marketing cookie preference above.
  • Google Maps — an embedded map on our contact page. Google may set its own cookies when the map loads.

Managing Cookies in Your Browser

You can also manage or delete cookies directly through your browser settings. Each browser handles this slightly differently. Click a browser below to see how.

Google Chrome

Open Chrome and click the three-dot menu in the top-right corner. Go to Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data. From here you can block third-party cookies, see all cookies stored, or delete them individually. To remove cookies for a specific site, click See all site data and permissions and search for the site name.

Mozilla Firefox

Open Firefox and click the menu (three lines) in the top-right. Go to Settings → Privacy & Security. Under Cookies and Site Data you can manage stored data and choose your protection level. Click Manage Data to search for and remove cookies from specific websites.

Safari

On a Mac, open Safari and go to Safari → Settings → Privacy. You can choose to prevent cross-site tracking and block all cookies. To remove stored cookies, click Manage Website Data and search for the site you'd like to clear. On iPhone or iPad, go to Settings → Safari → Advanced → Website Data.

Microsoft Edge

Open Edge and click the three-dot menu in the top-right. Go to Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Cookies and site data. Here you can allow or block cookies, and remove stored data. For specific sites, use See all cookies and site data and filter by domain.

Mobile browsers — On Android (Chrome), go to Settings → Site settings → Cookies. On iOS (Safari), the settings are under Settings → Safari. Disabling cookies in your browser may affect how some pages display, but will not prevent you from reading content on our site.

Your Rights

Under Malaysian law (the Personal Data Protection Act 2010) and general good practice, you have the right to:

  • Withdraw your consent to optional cookies at any time using the toggles on this page.
  • Ask us what personal data is held about you and request a copy.
  • Request that we correct or remove inaccurate personal data.

Disabling optional cookies will not prevent you from using the website, though some features that rely on preference cookies may not remember your settings between visits.

If you have questions about cookies or how we handle data, please write to us at [email protected] or call +60 7-2249 6831.
